HABITAT

Most rattlesnakes live near open, rocky spaces. The rocks help them hide from predators, and sneak up on prey. But also rattlesnakes can be found in a wide variety of habitats like prairies, deserts, marshes, and forests.

Rattlesnakes eat lizards, and small rodents like rats and mice. Rattlesnakes kill their prey by striking at it and use their venom to kill it, instead of trying to constrict it. Then they swallow their prey whole.
